About Us

Witch Hazel is a modern-day apothecary that taps into the calming beauty of nature.

Back in 2019, Jill Hilbrenner started designing floral arrangements after spending the better part of the year being treated for early-stage breast cancer. (All good now, thank God!) After getting the energy to get out of bed and “do things,” she went on a search to “do something pretty, just for the hell of it.” What started as a hobby in her apartment turned into an obsession that sparked the idea behind this shop: the idea that the Earth creates the most beautiful gifts you could ever want. 

At Witch Hazel, you’ll find a selection of botanical-inspired beauty products, gifts and dried flowers. All products use cleaner ingredients and are cruelty-free, and most are vegan-friendly. We carefully source from other eco-conscious companies that, you know, respect the planet where we live.

Our Values

We only have one Earth, and we want to treat it — and all it offers — very well. With that in mind, here’s what we promise.

  1. We will not intentionally harm the planet.
    This means avoiding plastics and excess packaging as much as possible, prioritizing sustainable vendors who don't greenwash, and reusing excess supplies. 

  2. We will celebrate creators who love nature like we do.
    That includes working with creators from a diversity of backgrounds. Those who treat their employees and the planet fairly, and who are transparent about what’s in their products. 

  3. We will share the love.
    Each month, we donate to the National Park Foundation, the fundraising group that supports our beloved National Parks. We collect community dropoffs for Terracycle product packaging recycling, and host donation drives and fundraisers for a variety of regional and national nonprofits.
