How do you choose your products?
We curate a mix of brands — from global to local — that prioritize cleaner ingredients, cruelty-free practices and sustainability.

Are all your products cruelty-free?
Yes! We don’t sell beauty or body products unless they’re certified/verifiably cruelty-free. If you have questions about a specific product, please let us know.

Are all your products vegan?
Most are, but not all. Several products contain ingredients such as beeswax. Review the ingredients section on product pages for more info, or contact us.

Can I sample a product before buying it?
We have testers of most products in our Beacon store. We simply ask visitors to be careful and considerate with them (ie, trying them hygienically, not exclusively visiting the shop to prep for a date or something).

Why do you discontinue products?
We’re sorry if we no longer carry a product you loved. Sometimes, our vendors stop offering certain products. Other times, we edit our product mix to match demand. If there’s a product you’re seeking, we’re happy to recommend an alternative.

When will I receive my order?
Orders take up to 2 business days to process before they ship. Most orders are shipped via USPS. If you select priority shipping, you can usually expect a delivery 1-3 days after your shipping confirmation. Standard shipping usually takes 3-8 days after your confirmation.

Can I buy online and pick up in-store?
Yep! Just select this option at checkout when you’re shopping online. Please check our opening hours before you pop by.

Do you ship internationally?
Currently, no. We encourage you to shop small and local in your country.

How do I track my package?
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number — usually for USPS.

I never received my package. Now what?
First, check your tracking number to be sure that your parcel isn’t being held at a pickup spot or otherwise delayed. If that doesn’t work, contact us, and we’ll try to help as soon as possible.

What happens if my package was damaged?
Within 14 days of receipt, email hi@witchhazelny.com with a picture of the damaged item(s), your order or tracking number, and a brief description of what happened. We’ll work out a solution for you.

How can I return or exchange a product?
Within 30 days of purchase, email hi@witchhazelny.com or visit our Beacon store with a valid receipt. Items will be inspected, and must be unopened and unused. Eligible returns are delivered in the form of store credit or a store gift card valid for 6 months. Flowers cannot be returned or exchanged. For returns or exchanges, we do not cover return shipping and cannot refund the original shipping charge paid.

What sustainability measures do you take?
A few ways, and we’re always striving for more. We offer the option to ship your order in gently-loved boxes at checkout to reduce waste, and we recycle empty beauty packaging with TerraCycle. (It gets turned into things like gardening tools and outdoor furniture.) We also donate monthly to the National Park Foundation.
We try to sniff out greenwashing when selecting brands to carry. We prioritize working with brands that take their environmental commitments seriously — such as by manufacturing products with alternative power sources, upcycling ingredients and so on.

How does your beauty recycling program work?
To recycle beauty product packaging, clean it out and return it to our Beacon store. If you’re not sure whether an item can be recycled, please reach out. When you return clean, applicable beauty packaging to us, we’ll give you 15% off at Witch Hazel that day. Products don’t have to be ours to be recycled here.

What if an item I love is out of stock?
Supply chain issues are still very real, especially for companies that source ingredients responsibly. We offer online waitlists and can notify you when a product is back in stock. If you visit us at the shop, we can also take your contact info (text or email) to notify you.

Do you do flowers for events and weddings?
We do! Fill out our contact form to share info about your special event, and we can offer proposals and pricing customized to you. Our wedding minimum is $2,500.

Do you offer private floral classes?
Sure do! Please check our private classes page to see pricing and guest count minimums. If that sounds good, please fill out our contact form to share info about what you’d like and when.

Will you create florals or installations for my home?
Yes indeed. Note that we deliver (with a fee) within the Tri-State Area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Others may be picked up at our local shop.
