Wedding Bouquet Preservation

We press and preserve bridal bouquets and sentimental blooms into one-of-a-kind framed keepsakes.

Your piece won't be an exact replica of your bouquet. Pressing changes petals and leaves — deep tones go deeper, white and green become more neutral, veins and ripples show through, and the thinnest petals may go translucent. We design around your bouquet's color and shape, and around what the botanicals become as they transform.

A Witch Hazel Specialty

Pressed flower art is one of the things we're known for. It's the most popular class we teach at our Beacon studio, and we've been pressing and preserving flowers since we opened in 2022. If you've taken our Pressed Flower Art workshop, this is that same eye and technique, applied to something that's meaningful on an entirely different level.

Pressed petals from a Hades ranunculus blossom in shades of copper, rust, and merlot. Petals rest on a white paper background.

Framed Botanical Art

Your bouquet will be pressed and artfully reconstructed in a custom frame, either on a clear floating glass background or matte watercolor paper. Each piece is designed around your unique flowers, so no two are exactly alike.

Typical sizes:

  • 11x14: from $550
  • 16x20: from $625

Larger and custom work

Multi-frame compositions, dimensional pieces, and non-traditional formats are welcome. If you have something in mind, tell us and we'll quote it.

Timing Matters

Reach out before your wedding so we can plan the handoff. Flowers need to reach us within a few days of the big day for the best results.

Already past your wedding? Reach out anyway. Depending on how your bouquet was stored, preservation may still be possible, and we'll give you an honest answer either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does preservation take?

Pressing takes two to three weeks, since flowers need that time to dry properly and hold their color. After that, we design and assemble the piece. Plan on 4-6 weeks from start to finish, sometimes longer for larger or more detailed designs.

How do I get my flowers to you if I'm not local?

We work with clients outside the Hudson Valley regularly. Once you reach out, we'll send simple shipping instructions so your bouquet arrives in the best possible condition.

My flowers are already dried out. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. Tell us what you're working with. Depending on how the bouquet was stored, we may still be able to make something beautiful, even if it isn't fresh. We'll always tell you honestly what's possible.

Will the finished piece look exactly like my bouquet?

No, and that's the point. It's made from your actual flowers, but pressing changes color, shape, and texture. We design around what your blooms become rather than trying to freeze-frame the day. You'll get something true to your flowers, not a photograph of them.

Do you preserve flowers you didn't design?

Yes. You don't have to have been a floral client.
