Witch Hazel carries the fragrance and beauty brands you won't find just everywhere: clean, cruelty-free, and distinctive. Not mall brands. Not mass brands.

It started with flowers.

In 2019, our founder Jill Hilbrenner needed to focus on "something pretty, just for the hell of it" after being treated for early-stage breast cancer. (All good now, knock wood.) She started doing floral arrangements again — an old hobby — because it let her feel like a person and not a patient. That turned into a small gift offering, which turned into a shop featuring florals and botanical-inspired fragrances and beauty products.

Today, Witch Hazel offers a tight curation of the best indie fragrances and beauty products, selected based on Jill's luxury background — she spent years on the creative teams at Chanel and Oribe Hair Care.

You can also book an appointment to visit our Beacon, New York studio in the Hudson Valley, a short trip from New York City. We offer creative workshops like floral arranging, pressed flower art, and perfume making, plus full floral design services for weddings and events. We'd love to have you swing by.
