Get Creative in Beacon
At Witch Hazel we slow down and make beautiful things with our hands. Jill worked in fragrance and beauty at Chanel before opening the shop, and Witch Hazel has been teaching pressed flower art, floral design, and perfume-making in Beacon since 2022.
We offer a rotating schedule of public workshops throughout the year, so check our Eventbrite page for what's currently available. Every workshop can also be booked privately for groups of 6 or more, year-round, regardless of what's on the public calendar. No prior experience needed. All materials are included.

Pressed Flower Art
1–1.5 hours · $85 per person
Our most popular workshop. You'll press fresh flowers using a keepsake mini press, then use our collection of previously pressed botanicals to create framed wall art (4x6"). Meditative, absorbing, beautiful. You don't have to consider yourself a "creative type" to get really into this.
Custom Bouquet Workshop
1.5–2 hours · $95 per person
You'll learn actual technique, not a template. Jill designs florals for weddings across the Hudson Valley, and the same instincts show up here: unexpected color, texture, and a bit of asymmetry. You'll leave with something that looks like you made it, not like you bought it.
Custom Perfume Workshop
2.5–3 hours · $115 per person (10ml bottle) or $165 per person (30ml bottle)
Perfume-making is an art and a science, and you'll learn about both. Working with an expert perfumer based in upstate New York, you'll explore fragrance families, learn how to balance top, heart, and base notes, and blend your own custom fragrance in either a 10ml or 30ml bottle.
We're a destination fragrance shop, and we stock some of the most interesting niche houses in the country. This is not a scent kit from a box.

Private Booking Information
All three workshops are available as private experiences for groups of 6 or more, year-round. If you don't see what you're looking for on Eventbrite, please reach out directly.
How to book
Fill out our private booking form with your preferred workshop type, date, and group size. We'll confirm availability and send a payment link. Full payment is required to secure your date, and dates will only be reserved for two days before being released. Sales tax will be added at checkout.
Cancellation policy
Because we source materials well in advance of each workshop, we require notice of cancellations as early as possible. Cancellations made 21 or more days before your event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14-20 days before your event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before your event are non-refundable. We're happy to transfer your booking to a future date, subject to availability.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend planning at least 4-6 weeks ahead, as dates fill quickly.
What's included?
All materials, instruction, and a finished creation to take home. We ask that you bring your own beverages if you'd like to enjoy drinks during the workshop.
Can you accommodate larger groups?
Yes — reach out and we'll discuss what's possible for your group size.
Can you accommodate smaller groups?
Yes — but to cover supplies and other expenses, the same minimum price applies regardless of group size.
